Sam Kallish, textile veteran
Carlsbad, Calif. — Retired textile industry veteran Sam Kallish has died. He was 89.
Kallish started in fabric sales right after high school in New York, founding Tower Fabrics before moving to California about 40 years ago. Among companies he represented most recently were International Textiles Corp., Jablan Fabrics and Covington Inds. He retired in 2001.
Survivors include his wife, four children and two grandchildren.

James E. 'Jim' Floyd, sales rep
Magnolia, Texas — Longtime furniture manufacturer's representative James E. "Jim" Floyd has died. He was 64.
Floyd began his career in 1971 as a sales representative for Pennsylvania House, covering Pennsylvania, Virginia and California. Beginning in 1986, he repped Century Furniture in south and central Texas. He was with La-Z-Boy in the Houston area from 1999 until last October.
His wife, one son and one daughter survive him.
