Saskatoon, Saskatchewan — For the fifth consecutive year, Mega Group, this country's largest furniture and bedding buying group, has been named one of Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies.
Also on the 2005 list were The Brick, the retail banner operated by the Brick Group Income Fund; Dufresne Furniture & Appliances, a regional chain in western Canada; and Quebec case goods producer Dinec.
The 50 Best program is operated by Deloitte, the accounting and management consulting firm, in collaboration with CIBC Commercial Banking, the National Post and the Queen's University School of Business.
"Mega sees its employees as a key ingredient to its success," said President and CEO Michael Graydon. "Having the right people in the right jobs with realistic goals and the autonomy to achieve them is something Mega Group encourages at all levels. The award recognizes the entire organization."
