Toronto — Alan Lacy, chairman and CEO of U.S.-based Sears, Roebuck and Co., became chairman of the board of Sears Canada when Chairman Glenn Richter stepped aside late last month.
Lacy sat on the Sears Canada board from 1995 to 1997 and again in the years since 2000.
Sears, Roebuck is the majority shareholder in Sears Canada. When the anticipated merger with Kmart is completed, Lacy also will serve as vice chairman and CEO of Sears Holding, the new umbrella company.
