Brick Group Income Fund
Edmonton, Alberta — Chris Hodgson has been named an independent trustee of The Brick Group Income Fund, parent of this country's No. 1 furniture and bedding retailer.
He is president of the Ontario Mining Assn. and a retired member of the Ontario legislature, and earlier was in real estate development.
The group operates The Brick, United Furniture Warehouse and HomeShow Canada, with stores in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and the Yukon Territory.

Toronto — Case goods manufacturer Leda Furniture here has promoted two people to new production posts as part of an effort to improve plant efficiency and customer service.
Peter Raposo has been named production control manager, responsible for planning, developing and supervising the production planning process. Andrew Hicks has been appointed "5S" program coordinator for continuous improvement. The term 5S stands for sort, systematize, sweep, sanitize and self-discipline.
Raposo has held posts such as department supervisor and lead-hand. Hicks has served as a department lead-hand.
Both report to Winston King, Leda's director of operations.
Sharut Furniture
Passaic, N.J. — M. Andrew Lee has joined Sharut Furniture as marketing director.
He is responsible for marketing and public relations at the company, a resource for contemporary entertainment centers, bedroom sets, home office and leather seating.
He reports to Shamir Einhorn, senior vice president of sales.
