Sharut adding leather line
Joan Gunin -- Furniture Today, April 10, 2005
Passaic, N.J. — Sharut Furniture is adding a full line of leather upholstery to its high-end collection of contemporary entertainment centers, bedroom sets, home office and curios.
For the High Point market, an assortment of eight stationary and four motion frames includes sofas, loveseats, recliners and home theater seating in transitional and contemporary-modern motifs. Retail prices range from $875 to $3,600.
"We have had home theater seating in our line for the last seven years with good response and we now have decided to expand the program around that," said M. Andrew Lee, newly appointed director of marketing.
Many of the 100% leather motion pieces offer advanced lumbar support, contoured leg rest and wall-hugging designs.
The addition of the upholstery collection now allows the 25-year-old family-run company to offer its retail customers complete home theater and living room seating.
Sharut's new Icon collection of lacquered entertainment centers exudes the same high-end contemporary design sense as the new seating line.
The imported upholstery pieces are assembled at Sharut's facility here. The company's High Point showroom is at 305 S. Hamilton St.
