Coja has new space in Hamilton Square

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, April 10, 2005

Canadian-based leather seating producer Coja is opening a new showroom at the April market here on the main floor of Hamilton Square.

The company also is celebrating its 20th anniversary of trading in North America.

In the 6,000-square-foot High Point space, Coja will show 25 new frames. Furniture displays will create an enhanced retail-type setting, with contemporary lighting, reflective walls, elevated wood floors and strategically placed LCD screens.

It adds up to "a dynamic experience in furniture buying," said Mark Parris, vice president of sales and marketing for the United States.

Established in the Netherlands more than 85 years ago, the company expanded to North America in 1985. Today, brothers Robert Vlessing, president, and Eric Vlessing, vice president, represent the third generation of the family to run the business. Coja manufactures for the North American market in Concord, Ontario.
