Lloyd Buxton expands High Point showroom
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, April 10, 2005
High Point — Manufacturer Lloyd Buxton will move into a larger showroom for the April market here, in space 117 of Hamilton Market at 101 N. Hamilton St.
The new space, twice the size of its previous showroom in the 200 Steele building, will allow the company to show more of its line of English classic reproductions.
"We are very excited and proud about this opportunity," said Mark Hinkle, owner of Lloyd Buxton. "We now have over 6,000 square feet that will give us the chance to display much more of our product."
One line to be expanded at the April market is Millers Dale, a collection reminiscent of classic countryside furnishings of 17th century England. Introduced a year ago, Millers Dale consists of original bench-made dining, living and occasional pieces in alder and other hardwoods.
Lloyd Buxton uses such construction elements as elaborate hand carving, dovetail joints, pegged construction, and solid brass-cast hardware.
