Ambari expands Dallas showroom
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, April 10, 2005
Dallas — Design showroom operator Ambari has doubled its space in the Dallas Market Center to allow it to show new lines from case goods and occasional manufacturer Hekman and its Woodmark upholstery division.
Owners Fina and Carlos Sampere established Ambari in 1994 to offer designers imported product, including the Taracea and Planteaktion lines from Mexico. Hekman/Woodmark is the company's first U.S. line.
To introduce the relationship, Ambari will host a designer appreciation event in its new Dallas Market Center showroom, space 11019, from 3 to 6 p.m. April 4.
"The addition of Hekman/Woodmark has allowed us to broaden our niche in the market and offer designers the diversity they are looking for," said Fina Sampere. "This partnership is important to the design community because all of our lines are available for sale from the floor, there are no minimums, and delivery times have been accelerated because of the relationship we have built with the factories."
Hekman President Dan Masters said the company has had a strong presence in the Dallas market for more than 10 years.
"Working with Ambari will give us an opportunity to broaden our range of designer clientele," said Masters. "It also will maximize sales penetration with new options and opportunities for the design community to develop a strong working relationship with the showroom."
