Butera Home Furnishings
High Point — Tiffany Olsen has been named national sales manager for high-end California upholstery manufacturer and retailer Butera Home Furnishings.
She replaces Nikky De Lemos, who left earlier to pursue a career in the movie industry.
For two years, Olsen has been retail sales manager for Barclay Butera Inc., where she focused on special orders, purchasing and customer service.
"We are very excited to have Tiffany in this role," said Haleh Fardi, Barclay Butera Inc. chief financial officer. "Nikky created a wonderful infrastructure, and Tiffany's sales focus and exceptional organizational and managerial skills will help take the operational efficiency of this team to the next level."
LeatherTrend
High Point — Brian Parker has been promoted to national sales manager for upholstery maker LeatherTrend.
Parker, who joined the company two years ago, was sales representative for the northern Texas area. Earlier, he was involved in retailing in Oklahoma City.
His new responsibilities at LeatherTrend include managing the sales organization and broadening the dealer base, particularly to second- and third-tier customers.
He reports to Bryant Dickens, president of LeatherTrend/LeatherMart, and Bill Pirtle, president of EasyTrend, the motion division.
Pacific Rim Import
High Point — Sherry McAdams has joined Pacific Rim Import as national furniture sales manager, a new position.
She will work to increase Pacific Rim's business with furniture retailers, and help create product suited to that segment of its business. The company also offers decorative accessories, garden and lighting products.
Before joining the Seattle-based company, McAdams spent 33 years in the furniture industry, both in retail for 15 years and with such major manufacturers as Bassett, Hickory White and BenchCraft.
Schillig USA
High Point — German-owned upholstery producer Schillig USA has expanded its sales force with the addition of several regional sales representatives:

Eric Davis, Montpelier, Ohio, whose territory includes Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, western Pennsylvania, western New York and Toronto.

Currie Mebane, Annapolis, Md., whose coverage includes Maryland, Virginia, Washington and Delaware.

Randy Javorski and Justin Javorski, Lake Forest Park, Wash., have Washington and British Columbia.

Elaine Monaco, Beaverton, Ore., covers Oregon.

Kim Voy, San Francisco, serves California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah and Hawaii.

Atlanta-based Ryan Dease and David Montgomery will handle Georgia, Tennessee and Alabama.
All report to Steve Bailey, Schillig's vice president of sales and marketing, who said, "Expanding our sales force and making some internal changes was necessary to better serve our customers."
American Leather
High Point — Tom Edmonds has joined Dallas-based American Leather and American Upholstery as Southeast territory manager.
Edmonds, who was a writer and contributing editor to Furniture/Today for 12 years, is responsible for retail accounts in Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia and northern Florida.
Based in Roswell, Ga., he reports to Casey Jones, national sales manager.

The National System
St. Louis — Industry veteran Ivan Saul Cutler has joined The National System, a brand marketing services company based here.
He will open an office in the High Point area for the company, which works in a variety of industries with clients including Mercedes-Benz, Domino's, Michelin, Macy's, Ford, Toyota and Anheuser-Busch.
Cutler, a former Furniture/Today retail editor, also has worked at BDO/Seidman, the San Francisco Mart, Fairchild Publications and FurnishNet. He will continue his online blog at www.insidefurniture.com.
