Tampa, Fla. — Consolidated Bedding, Spring Air's largest licensee, has promoted Steve Russo to president to replace Les Ayers, who has left the company.
Russo had been chief operating officer. Steve Antinori, chairman and CEO, announced the change.
Consolidated Bedding, a new entity, was created last month in a merger of Spring Air Partners and American Bedding Inds., the Spring Air licensee that had been headed by Antinori. Ayers, who was president of Spring Air Partners, had been named president of Consolidated Bedding after the merger.
Russo formerly was with Latex International.
Consolidated Bedding, which accounts for half of U.S. sales of Spring Air mattresses, is in talks to acquire another significant Spring Air licensee.
