Globe Express opens office in Paris
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, June 15, 2009
PARIS — Globe Express Service, a third-party logistics provider that serves the furniture industry, has added a corporate office here.
Located near the Roissy Airport, it will serve as the headquarters for Globe's logistic operations in France. It also will handle sales for the city and surrounding region.
The company said it opened the office here because France is a key gateway to European trade, and ranks third worldwide behind the United States and China in foreign investment projects in logistics, distribution and transportation.
“The city of Paris is well known as a place where top economic players converge and where many supply chain decisions are made,” said Joel Bataille, Globe Express manager for France.
Globe also said it will keep its Dunkirk office in northern France as an operations center for France, Belgium and the Netherlands.
