Chicago — Michael More of the Midwest Furniture Club here received the International Home Furnishings Representative Assn.'s Rudy Steltemeier Award of Excellence during IHFRA's 71st annual presidential gala earlier this year.
More has led his club's efforts to build and grow the local Chicago Midwest Furniture Show. It has grown from a 25,000-square-foot show the first year to its current 45,000 square feet.
The show has allowed the club to expand its presence in the Chicago furniture industry, generated business for its members and helped expand its membership.
More has been a longtime member of IHFRA and has served on the Midwest club's board of directors.
The Rudy Steltemeier award of excellence is given each year to an IHFRA member who has demonstrated outstanding service to fellow reps.
