Spokane, Wash. — Retail technology company Genesis Software has begun shipping the new Version 2 update of its Advantage software system for furniture retailers, introduced at the April market in High Point.
"The response to this new version in High Point was overwhelmingly positive," said Gary Sauther, founder and president of Genesis. "We invest ourselves in listening to our clients, and the positive response at market proved that investment is paying off."
Advantage 2.0 comes on the heels of the company's release of Advantage 1.0, which took place in August 2004. According to Genesis, that product release was the most successful in the company's 15-year history.
The new version contains a number of changes aimed at keeping the product consistent with program design standards in the software industry.
"It was important to us to maintain a look and feel similar to Microsoft Office because it greatly reduces the learning curve of our users," Sauther said. He said Advantage "is a system that anyone with a little experience in the Windows environment can learn very quickly."
