Lancaster, Pa. — Richard's Furniture & Flooring, based here, has installed Broyhill galleries in its three Pennsylvania stores.
The Lancaster store has opened a 7,500-square-foot Broyhill Showcase Gallery in its 13,000-square-foot showroom. The unit in Dover has dedicated 10,410-square-feet to a Broyhill Furniture Showplace in its 20,000-square-foot space. In Harrisburg, the 27,000-square-foot store features a 15,300-square-foot Broyhill Furniture Showplace.
Richard's is owned by Richard and Annetta Good, and partners Frank Barrett and Joe Cassidy. Richard Good is the former owner of Good's Furniture, launched in 1959 by his parents, Jacob and Martha Good. Richard joined in 1962 and helped grow Good's into a Top 100 store. Breuners acquired the chain in 1996.
In 1997, Richard Good brought back the flooring division of Good's Furniture, opening three new flooring stores. In addition to the Broyhill galleries, the stores features Mohawk floor coverings. During the openings, Good pledged 3% of April sales, or a minimum of $25,000, to the Make-a-Wish Foundation, benefiting children in Lancaster, York, Dauphin and Cumberland counties in Pennsylvania.
