Valdese, N.C. — In moves designed to increase efficiencies and to develop a broader global presence, Valdese Weavers has made several executive appointments, according to Mike Shelton, president.
Joel Crisp has joined the company as director of global operations, a new post. Crisp left The Robert Allen Group in April after 15 years, most recently as operating vice president, responsible for sourcing woven designs. He will develop new products and services for Valdese, Shelton said.
Mark Moss, international product and technical manager, reports to Crisp and will assist in the new activities. Al Bolton, international sales director, will now concentrate on export sales with Crisp assuming his other international activities. Bolton continues to report to Joe Feegee, executive vice president.
Martha Clifton has been promoted to marketing director, a new position. She will be responsible for product flow, internally and externally, and strategic marketing plans. She will continue to direct sales and marketing to the home textiles and specialty markets. She reports to Shelton.
Cynthia Parrish has added responsibilities as international sales liaison, a new position, to her existing position as director of product development. She will facilitate international sales and handle several accounts. She reports to Laura Levinson, senior vice president, product development in her existing post, and Zack Taylor, vice president, sales/marketing in her new activities.
