How the list was compiled

High Point — Furniture/Today's exclusive ranking of Canada's Leading Furniture Resources ranks companies whose primary business is the manufacturing of household furniture and bedding.
Total revenues include those of company divisions not based in Canada. Revenue estimates are based on the 12 months ended Dec. 31, 2004, and 2003, unless otherwise indicated.
The ranking is based on information obtained from public company filings, company statements and discussions with industry analysts. All revenue figures, with the exception of those supplied by publicly held companies that break out line-of-business sales for household furniture and bedding, are Furniture/Today market research estimates.
Some revenue figures have been converted using Revenue Canada's official U.S. dollar exchange rate of 1.3015 for 2004 and 1.4010 for 2003.
The ranking was compiled by Canadian Correspondent Michael J. Knell, who also wrote the stories, Director of Market Research Kay Anderson and Senior Research Specialist Dana French.
