Philpott named president, COO of FFDM; Beaston remains CEO

High Point — Industry veteran Ted Philpott has joined case goods and leather upholstery importer Fine Furniture Design & Marketing as president and chief operating officer.
Geoff Beaston, who had been president and CEO, continues in the latter position.
Philpott comes to FFDM from Pennsylvania House, where he was vice president of sales. Prior to that, he held the same post at importer Kemp Enterprises.
Beaston and Philpott worked together for many years at Lexington. Philpott was at Lexington for 17 years, leaving the company in 2002 as senior vice president of sales.
The appointment will bring added depth and experience to the FFDM sales team and company, Beaston said.

"I will work primarily in the marketing side of our business, while Ted will ... focus on directing our sales force in support of our retailer base. He brings a knowledge and dedication to the furniture industry that will be an asset to our customers and our company."
Howard Ward, vice president of sales and national accounts, reports to Philpott.
