SAN DIEGO -- Three furniture retailers, in Texas, California and the Midwest, have implemented GERS Retail Systems Store Operations & POS software to speed customer transactions.
Furniture Warehouse, which operates six stores in Dallas-Fort Worth with same- or next-day delivery, replaced its manual point-of-sale system with GERS software, which GERS says is easy to learn and use, providing immediate inventory lookup and reservation with faster checkout. "We selected GERS because of their people, solutions and partnership mindset," said Chief Operating Officer Robert Garrett, which "enabled us to have a quick and successful go-live."H.D. Buttercup, with an outlet store for home furnishings manufacturers in Culver City, Calif., implemented GERS Store Operations & POS to help it more easily manage multiple vendor inventories.Seasonal Concepts, which operates 20 stores in the Midwest specializing in patio furniture and Christmas accessories, said its GERS system makes it easier to manage inventories. The chain also has implemented GERS Radio Frequency Warehousing software. All three can now manage delayed delivery and customer pickups, as well as cash-and-carry items, with fully integrated merchandising and inventory management, GERS said.
