High Point — Upholstery fabric supplier Hafner USA has named Peter Price and Ann Elizabeth Lowder sales agents for North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and east Tennessee.
Price and Lowder previously worked at velvet specialist DeBall.

Macy's Merchandising Group
New York — Janice Kaplan has been named executive vice president/merchandise strategy at Macy's Merchandising Group, a new position at the Federated Department Stores unit.
She was executive vice president/ready-to-wear and children's for MMG. In her new post, effective Sept. 1, Kaplan will be responsible primarily for identifying merchandising opportunities in the home, men's and ready-to-wear core categories.
She continues to report to Janet Grove, Federated vice chair and MMG chairman.
McKinley Leather
Claremont, N.C. — Daniel Rowe has joined leather upholstery specialist McKinley Leather as director of manufacturing. He reports to Lori Sadowski, national sales director.
Previously, Rowe was with Old Hickory Tannery.
Foreign Accents
Albuquerque, N.M. — Wolfgang Rempen, president of contemporary hand-made rug resource Foreign Accents, is retiring to spend more time at his New Mexico ranch.
The company will continue to be run by his partner, Patricia "Trish" Rempen.
Patricia and Wolfgang Rempen founded Foreign Accents in 1984 in Santa Fe, N.M., and later moved headquarters to Albuquerque.
Foss Mfg.
Hampton, N.H. — Leon Hoffer has joined synthetic fiber specialist Foss Mfg. Co. as market manager of performance fibers.
Hoffer, who previously was a marketing and sales manager for Solutia's WearDated upholstery brand and has been in the industry for 30 years, will be responsible for promoting Foss in upholstery and other markets. He will work with Jeff Dellinger, who recently was named managing director of Foss's fiber business unit.
"Leon brings a wealth of marketing management experience to Foss, along with a solid understanding of our business climate moving forward," said Stephen Foss, chairman, president and CEO.
