Hanfling named president of Swavelle
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, August 21, 2005
New York — Richard Hanfling has been named president of supplier Swavelle Mill Creek Fabrics. He succeeds Jeff Thomases, who will continue in his role as CEO.
Thomases said Hanfling, who has been with Swavelle since 1989 and previously was a corporate vice president, spearheaded the company's creation of its print line for the jobber, retail and furniture divisions.
He also credited Hanfling with the creation of the contract division of Swavelle Mill Creek, and said he was instrumental in the introduction of the company's Raymond Waites licensed program, the purchase of high-end converter Textile Fabric Associates, and the creation of Bravo Fabrics International.
"We are all proud of the accomplishments that Richard has achieved in his many years here with Swavelle Mill Creek" Thomases said. "It gives me great pleasure to honor Richard with the presidency he so greatly deserves."
