MULBERRY, Fla. — Badcock Home Furniture & more has laid off 40 people citing poor business conditions, according to a report by The (Lakeland, Fla.,) Ledger.Mike Price, CEO of the Top 100 company, told the paper the layoffs affect office and operations staff at nearly all levels of the company. He said sales have been down for two years and the recession "just made things worse."
