![]() Twin-Star International invited its employees to bring their dogs to work for a day, and to donate pet supplies to a local animal shelter. |
Employees also brought pet supplies to donate to the Tri County Humane Society, which runs a no-kill shelter in Boca Raton, Fla.
"By inviting our staff to take their dogs to work, I hope we're opening their eyes to the importance of adoption and encouraging people to skip the puppy store and head to their local shelter when it's time for their next pet," said Mark Asofsky, president and founder of Twin-Star.
Each year the company also sponsors The Doggie Ball, a local fundraising event to support the Humane Society. In the past two years, the company's donation of a ClassicFlame Electric Fireplace has raised more than $3,000 for the shelter.
In addition to ClassicFlame fireplaces, Twin-Star produces Tresanti media consoles and refrigerated wine cabinets.
