Tobia now marketing specialty sleep sets in U.S.

STONEVILLE, N.C. — Purple is the color of innovation at Tobia Natural Sleep, a new bedding producer.
The company, which distributes specialty sleep sets produced by Tobia in Spain, is now marketing its sleep sets to U.S. retailers and made its debut earlire this year at the Las Vegas Market. It also will introduce its line at other shows in the United States and overseas, company officials said.
Tobia's Las Vegas showroom was pretty in purple, the color of the new AventO2 foam that is produced for Tobia in Switzerland. As the color suggests, the foam is scented with lavender, which according to officials helps repel dust mites and provides relaxing qualities for consumers.
Tobia positions the AventO2 foam as providing “a new dimension of comfort, wellness, relaxation and durability.”
It accomplishes that with an open cell structure that provides optimal temperature regulation and offers excellent wicking properties. Heat and moisture buildups, which can be a problem with other foams, are “mostly a thing of the past” with AventO2, the company said.
In addition, they said, the high-tech properties of the foam give it a longer life-span than traditional polyurethane or latex foams.
“This is a step forward in the quality and performance of foam,” said Oscar Valdemoros, managing director of Tobia Natural Sleep. “This is different from anything else in the market.”
Added Larry Craver, North American sales director: “This is a green product that offers additional properties.”
The foams are eco-friendly with the use of a natural ingredient like lavender, and with a production process that limits the level of carbon dioxide emissions, company officials say.
Tobia is offering foam sleep sets, a broad line of pillows and an airbed — the Natural Air, which features five separate, customizable zones and quickly adapts to three settings (soft, medium or firm) at the touch of a button. The beds retail at medium and higher price points.
Tobia has a warehouse in Stoneville.
