NEW YORK — The Greater New York Home Furnishings Assn. is honoring Raymour & Flanigan executives Neil Goldberg, Michael Goldberg and Steven Goldberg with the Jerry Gans Memorial Award for 2009.
The award honors prominent members of the furniture industry for distinguished service and is presented by GNYHFA at a formal dinner and dance. This year's award will be presented Nov. 21 at Terrace on The Park in Flushing Meadow Park, Queens, N.Y.
Liverpool, N.Y.-based Raymour & Flanigan, No. 7 on Furniture/Today's Top 100 ranking, is the largest furniture retailer in the Northeast, with 90 stores in Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island.
Raymour President and CEO Neil Goldberg said his family is honored to receive this award on behalf of its 4,000 employees.
Andy Gans, chairman of the dinner dance committee, added, “I know my father would be proud to have his name associated with the Goldberg family. These exceptional people really care about the good name of their company and are concerned about the welfare of their suppliers, employees, customers and the environment.”
