Tempa, Fla. — Consolidated Bedding, a Spring Air licensee that also markets its own bedding lines, has hired Kevin Martin as executive vice president of sales and marketing and David Binke as executive vice president of sales for the Innovative Brands Group.
Martin was most recently CEO of Penn Fishing Tackle, where he helped reposition the brand. Previously, he worked at Brach's Confections, Pillsbury, Mars and H.J. Heinz.
His direct reports include Richard Fleck, senior vice president, Eastern region, Paul Messerschmitt, senior vice president, Western region, and David Hughes, director of creative design.
Rick Robinson, president and chief operating officer of CBI's Innovative Brands Group, and Les Channell, president and COO of the Canadian operations, will continue to report to Russo, with an indirect reporting relationship to Martin.
Binke comes to the company from King Koil, where he worked for its Hartford, Conn., licensee. Earlier, he worked for more than 12 years with Spring Air, where he was executive vice president of sales and marketing for Spring Air, Los Angeles. That facility is now part of Consolidated Bedding.
