Spotlight on linen, silk, velvet

Brussels, Belgium — Linen, silk, velvet and sparkle were among the notable trends at the Decosit and TIP fabric shows here earlier this month.
Linen was embroidered, calendared, embossed and embellished, and velvets ranged from baroque to modern. Fabric constructions were somewhat more feminine, and colors were vivid without being harsh.
Colors to watch include pesto green with brown, purple with green, and neutrals in bruised, mineral shades with such names as petrol.
