Scoperta '06 in Milan already 20% larger

Milan, Italy — A number of European fabric producers are planning to exhibit at Scoperta's new venue at Fiera Milano here May 9–12, according to the fabric show's organizer.
Scoperta's previous home was in Chiasso, Switzerland.
"Scoperta 2006 is already 20% larger than the 2005 show and is growing in numbers and quality as some of Europe's leading manufacturers switch from the villas and hotels around Como to Scoperta," said Andy Green, managing director of show organizer Trade Link.
The Proposte fabric show at Lake Como, Italy, overlaps with Scoperta.
Green said a full list of Scoperta exhibitors will appear soon on the show's Web site, www.scopertaexpo.com.
The show will again feature Scoperta Creativa, which brings together design houses and manufacturers in a program that focuses on future trends, designs and inspirational textiles.
As it did from its Swiss locale, Scoperta organizers will offer shuttle bus service between Fiera Milano and Proposte. Shuttles also will serve the Milan-area airports, Linate and Malpensa.
The Proposte show and the airports are each about 30 minutes by shuttle from the new Scoperta site.
Visitors who stay in the center of Milan will be able to take a 25-minute Metro ride to Fiera Milano. Visitors staying in an official Scoperta hotel will receive complementary transfers to and from the show, Green said.
