59 finalists vie for this year's Pinnacles

A field of 59 finalists in 15 design categories has been chosen for the 10th Annual Pinnacle Design Achievement Awards from the American Society of Furniture Designers.

Winners will be announced at a High Point market banquet in the International Home Furnishings Center ballroom on Friday evening, Oct. 21.

Meanwhile, six people have been nominated for ASFD's inaugural President's Award, honoring a furniture designer under 35 years old for their talent and accomplishments. They are Laura Chapman, Berkline/BenchCraft; Troy Hollis, Lexington Home Brands; Matt Hurley, Otto & Moore Furniture Designers; Margaret Leigh, Zocalo; Thom O'Leary, ApparenzA Design Studio; and Yuri Zatarain, The Phillips Collection.

The winner also will be announced at the Oct. 21 banquet.
