Lane to show on-site at Tupelo Furniture Market
Will move to main showroom building
Larry Thomas -- Furniture Today, July 10, 2009
TUPELO, Miss. — Lane Home Furnishings, which has operated an off-site showroom for years during the Tupelo Furniture Market, has opted to move to the market's main showroom building for next month's show.Market organizers said Lane will share a space in Tupelo Building 6 with its sister company, Broyhill, during the Aug. 14-16 market.
"We are very pleased to be showing inside the Tupelo Market Building this year," said Lane President Greg Roy. "Being located in the middle of the market versus an off-site location makes it more convenient for our dealers."
Lane, which is based in Tupelo, had been using a showroom adjacent to its motion upholstery factory about two miles from the market building.
In the new exhibit space, Lane and Broyhill will each have about 9,000 square feet. The two Furniture Brands International companies will share common areas such as a reception area and kitchen, but will have separate showrooms.
"The market has provided us with a terrific space and we look forward to supporting our hometown market this year," Roy said.
Tupelo market chairman V.M. Cleveland said he is excited to add the FBI companies the roster of exhibitors.
"They're brand names that everyone knows and are important players in the industry," Cleveland said.
