Karel cancels Philly show

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, July 13, 2009

Regional show operator Karel Exposition Management has cancelled its 2010 Philadelphia home furnishings trade show.

Larry Karel, KEM president, said many of the Philadelphia exhibitors want to exhibit in the company's nearby show in Edison, N.J., one of KEM's top shows. This year's Philly event was held in May.

The next Edison Furniture & Accessory Market is set for Aug. 2-4 at the New Jersey Convention Center. Other shows on the KEM schedule for this year include:

  • The Orlando Furniture & Accessory Market, set for Aug. 21-23 at the Orange County Convention Center.

  • The Kansas City Furniture & Accessory Market, set for Oct. 4-5 at the Kansas City Expo Center.

  • The Long Beach Furniture & Accessory Market, set for Nov. 4-5 at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, Calif.

The company's winter 2010 market schedule includes the Edison Furniture & Accessory Market, Feb. 7-9, at the New Jersey Convention Center.
