Universal, Better Homes promoting dining line

HIGH POINT — Universal Furniture and Better Homes and Gardens are launching a dining room promotion aimed at one of the case goods importer's most successful licensed collections.
The promotion offers customers two free armchairs if they purchase a dining room table, four chairs and a sideboard or china cabinet.
The promotion covers dining sets in Better Homes and Garden's Classics Today, American Inspirations, Modern Outlook and Cottage View collections.
The offer, available to consumers through Oct. 31, will be promoted in the September issue of Better Homes and Gardens as well as on www.bhgfurniture.com and www.bhg.com. It also will be the focus of newspaper advertising.
To participate in the program, Universal's container-direct customers are asked to order product between July 13 and Sept. 30. Retailers who order out of the warehouse are asked to buy goods between Aug. 17 and Oct. 31.
The goal is to allow dealers to have product available by Labor Day for customers who want to have product in their homes before Thanksgiving.
Retailers who already have product in stock are allowed to offer the promotion to consumers and restock the goods as needed.
