Tempur-Pedic's Va. plant earns ISO certification

Lexington, Ky. — The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has certified that Tempur-Pedic's Duffield, Va., plant's manufacturing and development systems are in compliance with ISO 9001: 2000.
"We are extremely proud of the employees in our Duffield plant and their recent achievement," said Tom Bryant, president of Tempur-Pedic International.
"The hard work and dedication of our employees at this facility are critical in developing and manufacturing quality product for our consumers."
The plant's management systems for both manufacturing and development received the certification for its outstanding quality control practices.
"The establishment of repeatable processes is critical to achieving effective manufacturing and top-quality products," said Matt Clift, executive vice president of operations.
"The team in our Duffield plant should be very proud of this outstanding accomplishment. This will put the facility on the road to world class operations."
