WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Rent-to-own buying and marketing group RentDirect Nationwide will feature two industry veterans as speakers at a buying convention in February.
Bill Keese, executive director of the national RTO trade group, the Assn. of Progressive Rental Organizations, and Ed Winn, APRO’s chief counsel, will speak to the general assembly of RentDirect members at the meeting Feb. 26-March 1 at the Venetian in Las Vegas.
Nationwide Marketing Group has held its semiannual buying conventions for years, but this is the first time that RentDirect members will take part. Nationwide established RentDirect, a subsidiary for RTO dealers, earlier this year.
“Bill Keese and Ed Winn will both offer valuable information,” said James McAlpine, executive director of RentDirect Nationwide. Topics will include new and pending legislation and changes in rental laws that affect the industry, as well as the latest developments in collections and best practices.
The Nationwide event, called PrimeTime, is expected to draw thousands of retailers and a number of manufacturers showing new product. Nationwide Marketing Group has about 2,400 retailer members with more than 6,500 storefronts and $9 billion in annual sales in appliances, electronics and furniture.
Information about RentDirect Nationwide and PrimeTime is on the group’s Web site at www.gorentdirect.com.
