GUANGZHOU, China — Chinese retailer Jisheng Wellborn is hosting a new furniture trade show here next month in conjunction with the Sept. 6-9 China International Furniture Fair.
The JSWB International Furniture Fair Guangzhou will be held at the 900,000-square-foot JSWB Home Furnishings Center in Pazhou. It will feature some 130 exhibitors on six floors in the building, which is next to the China Import & Export Fair Pazhou Complex that hosts CIFF.
The floors in the JSWB complex are divided according to styles and categories. For example, the first floor houses living room and outdoor furniture, while the second and third floors house leather upholstery/traditional furniture and youth and master bedroom, respectively.
JSWB officials say the show will feature some of the largest and best known Chinese brands, including Stylution, Red Apple, Zouyou, Frandiss, Monarchy and Artmax to name several. Click here to see a list of the exhibitors by floor.
JSWB officials also announced that starting in 2010, it will host a spring and fall show in Guangzhou.
JSWB owns and operates some 5 million square feet of retail furniture mall space in China. Its major locations are in Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Changchun.
This is the second major trade show venue that JSWB has opened in two years. The JSWB Global Home Furnishings Center in Shanghai opened in September 2007 with nearly 2 million square feet of showroom space. More than 200 domestic and international brands have space at that facility.
In 2007 and 2008, that venue hosted the JSWB Furniture Sourcing Fair around the same time as the September Furniture China show in Shanghai.
Partly in response to the Las Vegas Market changing its dates to September, JSWB officials decided to postpone that show until 2010. By that point, two new exhibition halls totaling about 1.2 million square feet are expected to be complete.
This year's Furniture China show is still planned for Sept. 9-12.
As construction of its new venues continues, JSWB will concentrate on the retail aspect of the Shanghai facility, which remains open to the public.
