Richard Garrity joins Aspenhome in logistics post

Will work to improve supply chain performance

Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, August 11, 2009

PHOENIX — Case goods and upholstery resource Aspenhome has named Richard Garrity to the new post of executive vice president of global logistics and supply chain management.

Garrity, who worked in supply chain management inside and outside the furniture industry for 25 years, will oversee the development of a global infrastructure and information system to improve supply chain performance.

"We are thrilled to have Rich lead our logistics and supply chain team," said Bill Colegrove, CEO. "His experience in leveraging best practices and proven techniques across multiple industries will be an invaluable asset for us as we expand our global capabilities."

Garrity had been senior vice president of operations and supply chain management at Chromcraft Revington since 2007. Earlier, he was senior vice president of supply chain management for Thomasville Furniture Inds. and held supply chain posts with retailers Staples and Homelife Furniture.
