Lane recognizes retailers for sales performance

TUPELO, Miss. — Manufacturer Lane Home Furnishings has recognized three retailers for their sales success in 2008.
Miskelly Furniture of Jackson, Miss., received the Diamond Award for exceeding sales of $1 million in Lane product last year. The family-owned company has been in business for 30 years and has grown to five locations. Brothers Chip, Oscar and Tommy Miskelly are the store owners.
Susie's Furniture of North Lewisburg, Ohio, and H.L. Stephens Ltd. of Montour Falls, N.Y., each received Lane's Bronze Award, which is given to stores that increase Lane sales by 25% to 49 %.
Susie's Furniture, owned by Paul Thompson and April Thompson Freville, recorded an increase of 38% in 2008. The 9,600-square-foot store has been in business for 26 years.
H.L. Stephens, owned by Dirk Stephens, reported a 39% gain in Lane product sales in 2008. The store was founded in 1983 and opened a second location earlier this year.
