Ireland, Shaw to exhibit Gee's Bend line at Heimtextil

Frankfurt, Germany — Kathy Ireland Worldwide will exhibit the Quilts of Gee's Bend collection, including rugs from Kathy Ireland Home by Shaw Living, at the Heimtextil market here Jan. 11–14.
The Quilts of Gee's Bend collection is based on quilts produced from the 1920s to the present by a women's collective in rural Gee's Bend, Ala.
In addition to the Gee's Bend rugs, the Ireland's First Lady and Innovations rug collections from Shaw will be displayed at Heimtextil.
"Kathy has one of America's best-selling home brands," said Jeff Meadows, divisional vice president of Shaw Living. "She is a wife and mother whose designs fill the needs of families. Kathy Ireland Home by Shaw Living is an extraordinary success."
Also at Heimtextil, Kathy Ireland Home by Arrow Home Fashions will show top-of-the-bed products based on the Quilts of Gees Bend.
"Kathy is a well-respected leader, businesswoman and designer when it comes to serving the needs of women and their families," said John Elliott, vice president and co-principal of Kathy Ireland Home by Arrow Home Fashions.
In addition, Kathy Ireland Home by Hanna's Candle Co. will be showing light collections based on the Quilts of Gee's Bend.
Ireland will host a private reception at the Frankfurt home of U.S. Consul General Peter Bodde Jan. 12.
