PeopLoungers to debut quick-ship effort in Vegas

Nettleton, Miss. — Upholstery producer PeopLoungers is set to unveil its first-ever quick-ship program at this month's Las Vegas market.
The program, which promises two-week shipping on 10 of the company's best-selling frames, allows dealers to choose from a variety of leather, faux suede and fabric covers.
Jennifer Springer, vice president of design, said five motion frames and five recliner frames are part of the initial program, which has been dubbed PDQ, or PeopLoungers Darn Quick.
She said the program includes motion sofas retailing for $699 and $799, recliners at $299 to $399, and sectionals at $1,799 to $1,999.
Items available for quick-ship include those with popular features such as dual reclining sofas and storage consoles. Some sectionals are available with a full- or queen-size sleeper and a stationary chaise lounge.
According to Springer, many of the covers will be cut and sewn in China, but all assembly will take place at the company's factory in Nettleton.
PeopLoungers' Las Vegas showroom, space 810 in the World Market Center, will include point-of-purchase material developed specifically for the new program. The market runs Jan. 30–Feb. 3.
