Surfaces show set

Las Vegas — This city will host dozens of shows and conventions that will overlap the furniture market in late January and early February, from the Hobby Industry Assn. expo to a meeting of the Assn. of State Dam Safety Officials.
One that might interest furniture retailers is Surfaces 2006, the floor coverings show, set for the Sands Expo & Convention Center Jan. 31–Feb. 3.
Organizers expect about 1,000 exhibitors and 42,000 attendees. Area rugs are among the products to be featured.
