Armenian rugs in spotlight

Atlanta — Armenian Odyssey, an exhibit that tells the story of Armenia's tradition-rich rug industry, will be a featured attraction at AmericasMart during the International Rug Market here Jan. 19–22.

A grand opening reception is set for Thursday, Jan 19 at 4 p.m. on the second floor of AmericasMart

Armenian rugs also will be featured in a seminar on Friday, Jan 20 at 10 a.m. in the Armenian Odyssey gallery. Diamonds, Dragons and Crosses: The Art of Armenian Rug Weaving will be presented by Lucy Der Manuelian, co-author of "Weavers, Merchants and Kings: The Inscribed Rugs of Armenia."
