Arkansas retailer will use CDS Solutions software

Berryville, Ark. — Brashears Furniture, based in this northwest Arkansas city, has signed on with CDS Solutions Group's Retail 6 technology.
The 60-year-old retailer, which has 70,000 square feet of showroom space here and another 12,000 square feet in Branson, Mo., said its management felt that Retail 6 easily fit its current requirements, and positions the company for growth over the coming decade.
"Considering the dynamic nature of the furniture industry, it's surprising how few retailers over the years have embraced new technologies," said Doug Brashears, the retailer's president. "That landscape is changing as more retailers are realizing the importance of real-time data to the management team — a tool for making accurate, data-driven workflow decisions."
Designed exclusively for the home furnishings industry, Retail 6 is built to run on Microsoft Windows Server, Windows XP and Windows CE, and deployed exclusively on hardware from Dell, Cisco, Nextel and Symbol. CDS said it will provide Brashears with implementation and deployment services, including data conversion, hardware, software, education, mentoring and seven-day, 24-hour support.
