American Signature launches 12th Florida showroom

Pinellas Park, Fla. — Furniture retailer and manufacturer American Signature Furniture has opened its 20th store on U.S. Highway 19 here, its 12th store in Florida and the second in metro Tampa.
The 36,000-square-foot Pinellas Park store, like all American Signature units, sells 10 collections for the living room, dining room and bedroom, in traditional and casual styles. It also offers two youth collections. Ben Gusler is store manager.
American Signature employs about 420 people in Florida, with other stores in Altamonte Springs, Brandon, Daytona, Fort Myers, Jacksonville, Miami, Orlando, Sarasota, Sunrise and Miami. The retailer also operates stores in Tennessee and Georgia.
Based in Columbus, Ohio, American Signature is ranked No. 9 on Furniture/Today's list of Top 100 furniture stores, with 2004 furniture, bedding and accessory sales estimated at $805 million.
Owned by Schottenstein Stores, it also operates as Value City Furniture, with over 100 total units. In addition, the company owns the factories where most of its merchandise is made.
