McCarrell retires as Klaussner rep

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, January 22, 2006

Longtime Klaussner Furniture sales representative Mac McCarrell has retired after 18 years with the company.

He has been the senior sales rep for Ohio, West Virginia and western Pennsylvania for 16 years.

McCarrell spent 20 years in retail before joining Klaussner. He began his furniture career as owner of Kensington House Furniture in New Kensington, Pa. He joined Klaussner in 1987.

His major accounts were Levin Furniture, Wolf Furniture and Sofa Express and More.

Brian McKinney, who has been an associate sales rep, was named to succeed McCarrell.

A retirement reception at Asheboro's Pinewood Country Club was held to honor him.

"Mac McCarrell is one of the greatest guys and most professional salespeople I have ever had the privilege to work with," said J.B. Davis, Klaussner president and CEO. "We are going to miss him greatly."
