High Point — Fabric marketer Culp Inc. has promoted Thomas Gallagher Jr. to corporate controller. He will continue to report to Kenneth Bowling, vice president-finance and treasurer.
Gallagher joined Culp in January 2005 as assistant controller. Previously, he had been audit senior manager with BDO Seidman.

Bedmart
Phoenix — Duke Pollock has joined mattress retailer Bedmart as a regional sales manager in the Phoenix area.
He comes to Bedmart from Simmons.
Pollock entered the bedding industry in 1992 with The Mattress Firm, and was named manager of the year twice. He became part owner in eight of its stores in metro St. Louis. He then moved to manufacturing, working for Simmons in Arizona and then on the East Coast.
"We have experienced unprecedented growth in the Phoenix Valley and are very pleased to have Duke step in as an additional regional sales manager," said Chuck Kill, Bedmart CEO.
