Scoperta show moving to Milan
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, July 24, 2005
Hemel Hempstead, United Kingdom — The annual Scoperta fabric show, held in Chiasso, Switzerland, each May is moving to the new Fiera Milano venue in Milan, Italy, for its next edition, May 9–12, 2006.
Fiera Milano is about 30 minutes from Cernobbio, Italy, site of the annual Proposte fabric fair, also held in May, and about 30 minutes from the Malpensa and Linate airports.
Free shuttle buses will run between the airports and Scoperta, and to and from Cernobbio.
Andy Green, managing director of Trade Link, organizer of Scoperta, said the move to the new upscale venue in Italy, along with Scoperta's steadily increasing attendance, puts the show among the top echelon of international textile exhibitions.
Trade Link, based here, also organizes the TIP textiles show in Brussels, Belgium. The next TIP is set for Sept. 9–12.
