Vermont Tubbs taps Harris as president

Brandon, Vt. — Case goods producer Vermont Tubbs has named Bo Harris, who has led a bank and two start-up Internet businesses, as its president.
"He's a proven leader with a solid track record of growing businesses," said Jon McNeill, co-owner of Vermont Tubbs with Fred Musone. "This is probably the clearest statement yet that Vermont Tubbs has emerged from its turnaround and is progressing towards a bright future."
After debt pushed the Brandon, Vt.-based company to the brink of closing in 2003, McNeill and Musone led an investment group that formed Vermont Quality Wood Products and purchased the manufacturer in October of that year.
"I believe in the people, and I believe in the products of Vermont Tubbs," said Harris. "The brand of Vermont Tubbs has never been stronger — and we've never been a stronger partner to our retailers. Tubbs is shipping in less than 30 days. That's been consistent over the past 30 months. In addition, we're shipping at 99.7% quality levels in over 30 different finishes."
