Las Vegas — The World Market Center partnered with Opportunity Village, a Las Vegas area not-for-profit agency, to create a furniture donation program at the recent market here to benefit people with intellectual disabilities and their families.
Market exhibitors were asked to donate merchandise from their showrooms to Opportunity Village's thrift store, whose proceeds benefit the hundreds of families served by the organization.
Established in 1954 by Las Vegas group, Opportunity Village operates two campuses, two work centers and a thrift store. It provides vocational training, employment, advocacy and recreation for people with disabilities.
