Transportation conference set

The International Furniture Transportation and Logistics Council will host its 46th annual conference April 5–7 at the Hotel Royal Plaza in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

The International Conference of Furniture Transportation and Logistics Managers attracts more than 100 professionals.

This year's keynote speaker will be Ray Kuntz, CEO of Watkins & Shepard Trucking and second vice chairman of the American Trucking Assn. Other sessions will cover developments and cost-saving techniques in importing, protective packaging, truckload shipping, damage claim collection, home deliveries, standards for measuring furniture warehouse efficiency, and successful transportation bids.

Registration for the conference is $548, and $55 for a spouse or traveling companion who also may attend the sessions. Room reservations can be made by calling the Hotel Royal Plaza at (800) 248-7890.
