Bru Textiles

Kontich, Belgium — Billy DeSousa has joined converter Bru Textiles here as sales manager, a new position for the company. He reports to Gary and Jason Neiman, principals of Bru.

Before joining the company, DeSousa was international sales operations manager at Quaker Fabric for seven years.

Classic Sleep Products

Jessup, Md. — Vince Bryant, formerly a sales manager at Tempur-Pedic, has joined Classic Sleep Products as a regional sales manager.

Bryant will be responsible for developing Classic's Dormia line in the Southeast.

He spent almost six years at Tempur-Pedic, most recently as regional sales manager for the Southeast. Earlier, he represented Kingsdown in Georgia and worked in retail at companies including Modernage, Carls and Levitz.

The Robert Allen Group

New York — Leslie Beech has joined decorative fabric supplier The Robert Allen Group as director of contract sales, East, part of the company's expansion and restructuring of sales management.

She previously was with Scalamandre as national sales manager of contract and hospitality sales, and contract design director.

In her new post, Beech is responsible for new business development and providing sales management guidance for the independent contract sales representatives in her territory. She reports to Arthur Friedman, vice president of commercial accounts.

The Robert Allen Group designs and sells fabrics and furnishings to the interior design trade under the Beacon Hill, Robert Allen, Robert Allen Contract, Robert Allen @ Home and Ametex brands.

Zambezi Trader

Wynne, Ark. — Furniture and decorative accessories importer Zambezi Trader has contracted with Allan Knight and Associates of Dallas to represent its products to the hospitality and residential markets in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and New Mexico.

Park Place

Greenville, S.C. — Mattress manufacturer Park Place has promoted Ralph Nagele to plant superintendent, overseeing the quilt and sew departments.

A manufacturing professional for more than 20 years, Nagele joined Park Place in 2003 as production manager responsible for the foundation build and upholstery departments, when it was a one-shift operation.

"Ralph has been instrumental in developing our second-shift operation and has taken increased responsibility in managing the mattress build, tape, shipping and receiving departments," said Darrell Miller, Park Place vice president of operations.
