Cullman, Ala. — Mississippi upholstery producer Townhouse Furniture is selling and marketing promotional, volume-oriented imported upholstery by Room Inspirations.
Room Inspirations, a container-only source focusing on retail price points of $299 to $399 for a sofa, is showing its new line this week in the Townhouse showroom at the Tupelo Furniture Market in Tupelo Building 1, Space 1900.
Room Inspirations was launched last year by Bo Johnson, vice president, who was previously vice president of sales for Carolina Home Classics. Johnson said the company and Townhouse are well suited as marketing partners.
"Townhouse Furniture is extremely committed to our price point, and they are very good at handling customer service and sales. They have the contacts and the marketing skills to get all that done so we can focus on our Chinese operations and new product development," he said.
Room Inspirations' best-selling model is a jackknife-style sofa in microdenier fabric that retails for $299 with a matching ottoman.
The factory that produces most of Room Inspirations' product is near Dongguan, China. Arthur Berman is operations manager for Room Inspirations, based in China, and David Jarrett, based in Hickory, N.C., handles the company's design.
Jarrett is an industry veteran who previously has been associated with companies such as Bassett and Drexel Heritage.
